Why Me?! 12/16/04

We had just begun our dress rehearsal for 1st hour drama when the fire alarm went off. I hurried towards the door and panicked as I realized what I was wearing...an obnoxious floor length, rosy pink organza,ruffled bridesmaid dress that poufed out around the bottom. I could only be thankful that it had been chilly in the morning when I left for school and so as I hurried past my desk, I grabbed my hoodie to try and cover up whatever I could before going outside where I was sure to run into someone who would know me. Sure enough, one of the hottest freshman guys recognized me and stopped to stare. I rolled my eyes and began to launch into the reasons I was wearing this outlandish outfit when he loudly announced "You look like Barbie!" The rest of the day was spent trying to change the subject of conversations that began "Did you hear about the girl who was dressed like Barbie today? Everybody says it was you!"
