Bowling with a broken arm

"I was walking by a bunch of macho guys on the sidewalk,and they were seeing who could spit the farthest. One of them hit me in the head with spit. I turned around to smack him with the book I had under my arm, when a guy I had a major crush on walked by. In mid-swing, I stopped to wave to him. I guess I loosened my grip on the book, because it flew toward the Spit Boy's head, and smashed him with such force that he fell down to the ground!" J.B., N.H.
