Love E.T. and Free Willy? If so, this is the flick for you this spring! Based on Dick King-Smith's novel of the same name, the movie revolves around a boy named Angus, who finds a giant egg that hatches a "water horse," the mythical animal that will come to be known as the legendary Loch Ness monster. The monster grows, and Angus, already unwilling to accept that his father has been killed in World War II, is reluctant to accept that the monster must go live in the local lake, lest he be pursued and killed by people who fear him. Again, those who love E.T. will see the tough choice Angus has to make, though it's a choice that will finally lead him to a place where he can accept his family's situation. The movie's another great family flick, though it's also good for one of those nights when you want to pop a big bowl of popcorn, grab a box of tissues and have yourself a big old cryfest.
