#2: Party like it's 2000 with the releases of
Blackout by Britney Spears (Jive) and Unbreakable by Backstreet Boys (Jive)
Britney and BSB with new albums in the same week? Wow, we're being transported back about seven years, when there was nobody bigger than those two acts. This time out, both Brit and the BSB guys will probably have to settle for selling a few less records (or maybe a few million less), especially since their personal lives have overshadowed their careers for a while now. But for those who miss the music, both new albums will offer tunes to get you rockin'. Brit's Gimme More is probably already stuck in your head, and songs like Toy Soldier and Freakshow are also great excuses to get your booty on the dance floor. The BSB-ers have launched their newest CD with a ballad the very catchy Inconsolable and if you're a fan of the slow jams, make sure you also check out "Helpless When She Smiles." Now, if 'N Sync would just reunite, this could be a real retro celebration, huh?
