Live Earth Concerts (July 7)
Seven concerts, on seven continents, with more than 100 performers and an audience that will be 2 billion strong, all in the name of raising awareness and support for bettering the world's climate. Count us in! Especially when do-gooding involves a lineup of superstar performances that includes Rihanna, Madonna, Ludacris, Kelly Clarkson, Sheryl Crow, The Police, Smashing Pumpkins, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Shakira, Joss Stone, the Beastie Boys, Genesis, Foo Fighters, and Duran Duran, who'll be performing in live shows in New York, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Hamburg, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, and Johannesburg. And no worries if you don't have tix for the shows — the concerts will be broadcast live on the Sundance Channel (4 a.m.), Bravo (8 a.m.), CNBC (7 p.m.), and NBC (8 p.m.).
