Sure, technically, the Chipmunks are rodents, but they're cuter than any rodents we've ever seen! Alvin, Simon and Theodore are brothers who just want a cozy home and a father figure, and they find both in Dave Seville (My Name Is Earl star Jason Lee). But Dave wants nothing to do with having chipmunks living in his home – until he hears them sing. They're fantastic singers, and Dave thinks he can finally experience success if the boys sing his songs. That leads to them setting up camp in his home – and showering, in one of the movie's best scenes, in his dishwasher! Over time, the boys eventually come to see Dave as their human dad-type guy, and, despite his best efforts not to, Dave soon comes to see the boys as part of his family, too. And for viewers, a serious case of the warm and fuzzies (as in, three fuzzy little chipmunks!) ensues.
