Okay, now that American Idol has pared tens of thousands of auditioners down to 24 finalists - 12 guys, 12 girls - do you have an early favorite? Anyone you just really like, even if you don't think he or she is likely to win the competition? I feel like we didn't really get to see as much of the auditioners up close in the early rounds, which has made it tougher to really pick faves. But I do really like Chris Sligh, the guy who looks like Jack Osbourne, has a killer voice and seems to be such a sweetheart that he'd be named Mr. Congeniality by his fellow contestants if this were a beauty pageant. Can't wait to see the actual competition begin Tuesday night (Fox, 8 p.m. ET), when the guys perform, followed by the girls on Wednesday and the first elimination show of the season on Thursday, when 2 guys and 2 girls will be sent home . . .

Congratulations to ex-Felicity star Keri Russell on her Valentine's Day wedding and upcoming baby! Though we miss seeing her on the tube every week, Keri fans do have something to look forward to later this season: She'll guest star on two episodes of Scrubs this spring . . .

Rumors are flying like crazy about who will be the guest judges on American Idol this season, with names like Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani and even Michael Jackson(!) being bandied about. Which music superstar would you like to see coaching the "AI" wannabes? And which star would you NOT want to see hanging out with the contestants? Oooh, remember that awesome Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the one where the now-lovebirds first met? It's being turned into a TV show, starring The Fast and the Furious star Jordana Brewster as Mrs. Smith, and super-cute newcomer Martin Henderson as Mr. Smith. Look for it on ABC next fall. . .

Supernatural fans, SPOILER ALERT: Sam and Dean's dad is going to make a surprise re-appearance later this season! Can't wait to see how they bring him back, since he's, well, not so alive anymore...
