Getting to Know: Cody Linley

We sat down with Hannah Montana's Jake Ryan, Mr. Cody Linley himself, to talk about his experience making the movie The Haunting Hour (with HM costar Emily Osment). Here's what the handsome guy had to say about it.

Teenmag: Alright, gotta ask since we're in kind of the Halloween theme here: What was your most memorable costume?
Cody Linley: One year I was [basketball player/bad boy] Dennis Rodman and I had an Afro that was a bunch of different colors. I had a glow-in-the-dark basketball and Chicago Bulls jersey — that was pretty cool.

Teenmag: Sounds cool! Was it weird working with Emily on a different set?
C.L.: Nah, it was great. It was really fun because we’re great friends. It was cool. It was my first time to ever go on a movie already knowing someone on set. Usually I go in and meet a whole bunch of new people, but this was cool. We hung out off set a lot and played games, threw a football around. She’s kind of a tomboy, which is good because I have four brothers and I don’t have any sisters, so I’m used to doing guy stuff. But Brittany Curran, on the other hand, is a real girly girl. I was friends with her too, and we all hung out together, but I have to say Emily is better at sports than Brittany.

Teenmag: Is it nerve-wracking when you start a new project without knowing anyone?
C.L.: It’s kind of an excited nervous. I’m usually excited to meet the director and other cast members, and anxious waiting for it to happen. But I’m never nervous that I’m going to have to work with someone weird or anything. All of my experiences in the past, everyone I’ve worked with has been nice and I’ve always had a great time on all of the sets I’ve been on.
