Bar wasn't all smiles during a recent bout with the paparazzi
Leo and friends quickly departed the scene...
What should have been an enjoyable day of sightseeing for Leonardo DiCaprio turned tremendously unpleasant as those pesky paparazzi wouldn't take no for an answer.

Late last week, Leo and his girlfriend, Israeli Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Bar Refaeli, embarked on a tour of a tunnel near one of Jerusalem's holiest spots, the Western Wall.

Per usual for the actor, photographers were lying in wait, and that's when things got out of hand. According to reports, "The photographers gathered around as DiCaprio got into a van and security guards tried to shoo them away." Then, to hear the paps tell the story, the "bodyguards began swinging their fists wildly in an effort to scatter the crowd."

"They were freaking out and going crazy," one photographer, who suffered bruises to her forehead and collarbone, told the Associated Press. "It was pure violence."

For his part, Leo can't fathom how such nonsense could go down in such a holy spot. His publicist released a statement saying that the blame rested solely with the photographers: "Leo is horrified that anyone might have gotten hurt in this situation, but the paparazzi really made this happen."
