Reese Rocks the Red Carpet at the 79th Annual Academy Awards
Red Carpet Wrap-up
So...hmmm, who looked good? Well, not Kirsten Dunst, whose heavily beaded vintage silver gown washed her out and had too much going on to be flattering.

We love Jennifer Hudson (and how lucky was she to get her award from Clooney!), but her performance on the red carpet could have used a little work. The flashy gold snakeskin jacket (chosen by Vogue editor André Leon Talley) was at odds with her elegant chocolate gown. Its high collar looked like she was ready for takeoff. And, take it off she did — once she entered the Kodak Theater. She also changed two more times, once into red, for her singing performance on stage, and again for the after parties.

The usually stunning Cameron Diaz looked unusually unkempt in an ill-cut jacquard gown, messy hair and iffy jewels. And Jessica Biel, rumored new gf of Cammie's ex, JT, also failed to drop jaws in a fairly perfunctory fuchsia gown that did nothing to showcase her AWESOME bod.

On the plus side, last year's big winner, the newly single Reese Witherspoon, ROCKED the carpet and the house in a deep purple strapless Nina Ricci with a tiered skirt (eat your heart out, Ryan), and Beyoncé's Armani gown was interesting. It was basically a light green strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline, but there was a strand of stones over one shoulder. It looked pretty but not too showy.

And, the winners were...
Ellen DeGeneres whooped it up big time, and we laughed along with her. Here's a look at who went home with a new pal named Oscar...
