What had been a hard couple of months for Anna Nicole Smith got even harder Thursday when the former Playboy Playmate turned-Trim-Spa spokes model died in Florida following unsuccessful attempts to revive her.

The 38 year-old blonde bombshell, who gave birth to daughter DanielleLynn in the Bahamas in September just days before her grown son, Daniel, collapsed and died while visiting his mom and new sister in the hospital, is said to have collapsed and become unresponsive while staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino in Florida - she was rushed to a hospital where several attempts to revive her proved unfruitful.

Anna Nicole first rose to fame as a Playboy centerfold and later as a Guess? jeans model - then, in 1994, she became tabloid fodder by marrying 84 year-old billionaire oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, who was worth an estimated $400 million. Marshall died a year later, setting off a feud between Anna Nicole and her stepson.

Anna Nicole is survived by her baby daughter who is said to be in the Bahamas.
