"I broke my back"

Orlando has always been attracted to thrilling adventures, but when he was attending the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in England, he fell from a window and broke his back. "In the hospital, I was told that I was going to be in a wheelchair and for four days they thought I'd never walk again," he says. Orlando kept the faith, though. "I knew I had to stay positive [and] it paid off because 12 days later I walked out of the hospital. It was something of a miracle," he says.

Orlando still looks for thrills-snowboarding, surfing, bungee jumping and skydiving-he's just a little more cautious now. "I've realized I'm not invincible," he admits. "That's what breaking your back does, it makes you grow up and reassess life."
