In-a-Hurry Hair

  • After shampooing, using a hair towel, like Aquis, to help speed your drying time.
  • Wait until your hair's at least 50 percent dry before styling. Styling wet hair is a waste of time-it can't hold curl, volume or anything.
  • A high-wattage blowdryer will dry your hair fast. Keep the dryer moving, though, or the high heat can damage your hair.
  • Use a vent brush when you blowdry; the air flows through the brush, which helps cut down drying time.
  • When you're really rushed, concentrate your styling efforts on hair that gets noticed most-the hair framing your face and the hair directly on top of your head.

    The Five-Minute Face
  • Use a sheer foundation, this goes on fast and easy. Need more coverage? Try a foundation/powder combo, such as L'Oreal Luminair Lightweight Creme-Powder Makeup, Cover Girl Ultimate Finish Liquid Powder Make-Up or Maybelline Shine Free 2-In-1 Make-Up.
  • Apply one sweep of brown or gray eyeshadow (just from your lashes to your creaseline). This should take about 30 seconds-max! Or, draw a line close to your lashes with a soft eye pencil, then smudge with your fingertip. This defines eyes and makes your lashes look longer.
  • Use one-shot mascara, such as Almay One Coat Mascara. If you have dark lashes, try clear mascara or use a lash curler.
  • Try multi-purpose makeup. Clinique Beyond Blusher Oil-Free Everywhere Colour is great for cheeks and eyes. Colourings Complete Color by The Body Shop works for eyes, cheeks and lips.
  • Slick lips with sheer color. Even faster: Dab lip gloss in the center of your lips and smoosh lips together. Most lip glosses are petroleum based so they'll spread evenly over your lips.

    Fast Hair Fixes
    The look for hair right now is built for speed styling.
    1. Slick your hair. Use a spray gel and comb hair flat and smooth to your head.
    2. Spritz curly hair with a fifty-fifty mixture of leave-in conditioner and water, then scrunch.
    2. Put long hair up. The quickest way? Make a ponytail, twist this around, then hold it in place with a couple of hair sticks. Don't worry that it's messy, that's what's in.
