31. Colored mascaras are cool, but they can look too bright on light lashes. Brush on black mascara first, says makeup artist Jan Thomas, then apply the colored mascara.
32. Overdone it with the eyeshadow? Don't try wiping it off--you'll make things worse! Instead, use a puff to press translucent face powder over the eyeshadow to mellow out the color.
33. Shimmers should be worn on only one area of your face--never all over!
34. Powder puffs get yucky and breed bacteria after a few powderings! So, give your puff a weekly wash with an antibacterial soap.
