You're young, and plenty of boyfriends will come and go in your lifetime. A good rule of thumb is that if you are not having fun and the relationship is not developing, you should probably move on. If that seems too extreme, try engaging your guy in things: Invite him to a sporting event, a concert, or even a picnic — then maybe he'll get the hint that that's the type of thing you're looking for in him!

If he doesn't take the bait, you can explain that you'd like to have more of a "real relationship." If you really like him, it's worth trying to teach him a little — after all, he's not a mind reader. If you're really just not that into him, it may well be time to move on.
