4. Speak up: Class participation can score you major points. Also, by sitting up and speaking out, you develop awesome public-speaking skills — and you’re more likely to remember the info in that day’s class. If you don’t understand something, make a habit of asking questions right away. If you really find it difficult to speak up in class — as in, suffering through a root canal sounds like more fun — stay after class to ask questions.
