What's up with "Boys' Night"?
Q: What is the deal with "guys' night out"? Sometimes my boyfriend bails on me to be with his friends. Does this mean he's sick of me or that he wants to go out and meet other girls?
Fed Up
A: "Guys' night out" doesn't mean that the guy is looking for a new relationship. A relationship works best when the couple does things together but also allows time for doing stuff apart.

It's important to spend time away from each other. People need that independence from each other and to have their own quiet time. Relationships are hard; you have to work at them. If you think you're going to find someone whom you'll always be completely fascinated with, it's not going to happen. Having your own space — it doesn't have to be much — allows you to remain fascinated with each other. It also keeps you from taking each other for granted, which happens when you spend every minute with someone.
