The pressures of being a kid today have taken a major toll on you: Exams, family affairs and some serious social tensions have left you wigged out, frazzled and fried. Your mind and your body are pooped. Relax, breathe deeply and start the new year right by strengthening your bod and soothing your mind with yoga. Sounds great but you don't know how to begin? No prob...that's what we're here for!
BASICS FOR BEGINNERS: You're a novice? No problem! Yoga doesn't have to be about awkward, uncomfortable, hard-to-handle positions. This 15-minute relaxation routine will shape you up in no time:
1. WALK THE WALL Kick your feet up, relax and rejuvenate your lower bod. Lie flat on your back about a foot from the wall, then prop your feet up on the wall. Be sure not to round your lower back and that your butt doesn't lift up off the floor. If you're rounding or lifting, move away from the wall a bit more. Place arms out to your sides. Hold for five minutes.
